INSURANCE PLAN PARTICIPATION
Atlanta Skin Cancer Specialists, P.C. ("ASCS") participates with many local insurance plans and Medicare. Our goal is to be widely accessible to our patients. As contracts are frequently reviewed and changed, we recommend that you contact us or your health plan to verify our participation in your plan. It is important for us to have your most recent and correct insurance information, so we ask for a copy of your ID card at each visit.
Most of these plans require members to pay an office co-payment for each office visit. Payment of the co-payment, deductible and co-insurance is expected at the time of your visit. We will then file a claim to the plan for the balance.
For the insurance plans that our office participates in, our office will file insurance claims for our patients. For non-participating plans, the patient is responsible for filing insurance claims.
PAYMENT / BILLING INFORMATION
Patients are responsible for any copayments and remaining deductibles at the time services are rendered. If you have any questions about your financial obligation for payment, please ask our staff for help answering your questions. For patients with more than one insurance plan, also known as secondary and tertiary insurance coverage, please present that information at your appointment to make sure that all your insurance plans are billed properly.

Our practice accepts VISA, MasterCard, American Express and Discover for credit card payments.
- CHECK
For patients who submit payment by check, our practice will process your check using the TeleCheck apporval system. The TeleCheck® Paper Check Acceptance service allows our practice to process checks in realtime, at the time the check is presented for payment, and allows our practice to minimize returned checks while offering patients this payment method.
Our practice charges $30 for all returned checks.
